We Need To Talk About The Final Table
If you're a fan of Netflix, cooking and competition shows, then you're going to want to pay attention. If you are currently watching The Final Table (a Netflix Original Competition Show), and not finished then DO NOT READ PAST THIS POINT! *Spoiler Alerts*
If you have not watched or heard of this show, then you can personally thank us after you binge. The Final Table is a competition show unlike any other! It starts out with 12 teams of two chefs from all around the world and notably some of the best chefs from their country and specified cuisine. Each episode they "travel" to a different culinary-filled country where they are given the task by the special guest judges to complete a dish centered around that country.
After each round, the three bottom chefs/dishes get one last chance to fight for their place by creating one last dish that is centered around one specific ingredient from a world-renowned chef from that country. This continues until there are 2 teams left and they are finally split up into 4 individuals. So, their partner that carried and worked with them throughout the entire competition... is now their competition - ruthless.
The Chefs featured are Enrique Olvera (Mexico), Andoni Aduriz (Spain), Clare Smyth (UK), Helena Rizzo (Brazil), Vineet Bhatia (India), Grant Achatz (USA), Carlo Cracco (Italy), Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan), and Anne-Sophie Pic (France). The goal? To be the last chef standing and make a winning dish that earns themselves a space at the Final Table with these remarkable 9 chefs.
The entire show is incredible, dramatic and fun to watch. The time crunch, challenges, the creativity, teamwork and the food is outstanding. The finale... that much better. The chefs have 2-hours to create a dish that represents their journey as a chef to prove to the 9 judges why they should be the winner. Servers are there to personally deliver each of the final dishes to the 9 chefs where they ultimately decide as a whole that Timothy Hollingsworth of California, USA created a dish that was nearly impossible to beat.
So, if you haven't already guessed it. We HIGHLY recommend this show. With a quick trip to 9 different countries, celebrity guest judges, such as Dax Shepard, Alessandra Ambrosio, Colin Hanks and more - the entertainment, talent and learning possibilities are endless!
